Visitors from England

In my last post, I mentioned that I would be having visitors from England. Jon and Mike turned up as they promised, and it was a great time to have spent with them! It was so good to see them both after such a long time and I'm glad they came as I got to see a few more places that I might not have not bothered to see had it not been for tourists.

Well, they arrived after changing planes at Beijing and as soon as they landed, we carted off straight to Macau! After crossing over by the ferry and filling out more health declaration forms (much to Mike's delight) we eventually made it to our last minute hotel and then onto the Grand Wal
do Spa. Bargain prices in here, we got to swim around in the jacuzzis, play a bit of ping pong, get some foot and body massages and eat an all inclusive buffet twice. Jolly good show.

The next day, we wandered around Macau, seeing the tower, The Venetian hotel again and, of course, St. Paul's ruins. We also got to visit the museum, which is free to enter on the 15th of every month. How convenient!! Luckily for us, there was also a food festival on near the tower, and seeing as the weather was less than agreeable, it wasn't a wasted trip. Also managed to witness someone bungee jumping too. Wicked.

Managed to also see the 'Symphony of Lights' show at T
ST side of the harbour. This was quite cool as I'd never seen it before, but it really is a see once thing. Never the less, managed to snap some cool views too with my trusty phone. Later that week, we also ate at Wan Chai's "Tai Pai Dong" area, visited the Happy Valley racecourse where Mike won less than a pint before heading up to the top of The Peak, for some more photos and views. All in all, it was a nice break from the mundane for me, and hopefully a smashing holiday for Jon and Mike!

Job's going well.

I'm really excited abo
ut going back to England for Xmas still!! Can't wait! Still got a load of stuff I need to buy, and not made it too far on my lists of things to eat and do. So far, I've decided that I must go eat at Morrison's and that's about it. Too bad. I leave you now with a few pictures I snapped of our food in Wan Chai, and also a promise that I'll blog again soon. Until next time!!
